(Note: Since this review--which was done quite a
while ago--they've made it so that all the video is streaming only. No
downloads. And the trial only offers limited access. Very disappointing
developments. We wouldn't bother with this at all.-Eds.)
Remember when Survivor first took off, and all of a sudden
there was this rage over "reality TV"? Around the same time a
new porn niche was taking over the Internet. It was called "reality
porn." Like reality TV, it wasn't real at all. It was staged.
But--and this was the important thing--it was also like reality TV in
that it was very cheap to produce and didn't take any particular talent.
You just needed somebody to hold the camera on a bunch of amateurs while
they did their thing.
As on network TV, success bred imitation. Whole networks of sites
(mostly based in the Miami area, for some reason) grew up imitating each
other's basic concepts. And so you had Captain
Stabbin' and the Bang
Boat, Backseat Bangers and the Bang Bus.
The network of which Backseat Bangers is a part is typical of the
niche. (Note: For some odd reason the same network seems to go under two
different names. Check out what's on offer at Discount
Reality Sites and XXX
Supersize. Go for the best price.) Within the network you get a lot of exclusive amateur video with regular updates.
One membership gets you into a whole bunch of sites, so it's usually a
pretty good value. But you're definitely getting quantity over quality.
Production values are very low and the video is just passable. What pics
you get are just vidcaps. There tends to be a lot of annoying talk, both
in the scene set-ups and even during the sex. There isn't much
imagination or intensity to the sex. You just have to accept that the
players aren't always really into it, and that if things don't work out
(in terms of a miserable money shot or bad lighting) they don't really
care. There is technical competence (anyone shooting this much video has
the basics of keeping things in focus at least), but not much else.
As noted, this network, which includes such titles as Bang
Boat and MILF Seeker

as GangBangSquad,
HerFirstBigCock,
MySexTour,
PornStudSearch
(external links, no reviews available), and a whole lot of other stuff, is very typical. They do give
you a lot of bangin' for your buck. There is, however, a significant
design flaw in that you can't download full movies. The clips are all
just thrown together in a list (a long list of 2 minute clips, a very
long list of 30 second clips) without thumbnails. Nice for modem users,
but not at all friendly for those with high-speed. Another aspect of
this network worth mentioning is the emphasis on interracial sex. If
that's your thing, you get a lot of it with these guys.
Backseat Bangers is another version of the "sex in the back of
an SUV" concept. The talent involved are supposed to just be people
the producers (driver, cameraman) pick up as they cruise around town.
When we visited there were 51 episodes (with a new one added every
week), usually running around 40 minutes
each. There are 8 new girls being added every week across the network of
"reality products" put out by these people, so there's always
something new.
On the whole we didn't think this was one of the stronger sites in
the network for several reasons. There is far too much chat between the
not very likable "hosts" (for lack of a better word). The
camerawork, never easy in these backseat sites (what do people see in
this concept?), is pretty rough. And the models seem to be of a
generally lower caliber.
That said, the site does deliver what it promises and you can view a
very full site tour that shows you exactly what you're going to get.
Plus the fact that a membership gets you into a large network of other
sites makes it a decent value.
