| Review:
The
word
"nude"
has
come
to
enjoy
a
special
meaning
in
the
porn
world,
one
that
sets
it
apart
from
"porn"
in
general
by
denoting
a
kind
of
arty
class.
This
isn't
to
put
it
down,
but
just
to
point
out
that
if
you're
into
adult
material
that
is
explicit,
gonzo,
nasty,
hardcore,
etc.,
then
you
probably
won't
like
a
"nude"
site.
But
then
you
probably
already
know
that.
The
flagship
site
for
what
has
come
to
be
known
as
the
new
or
European
nude
movement
is,
of
course,
MET
Art.
For
quite
a
while
now
MET
has
been
setting
the
standard
for
what
a
classy
nude
site
should
be:
with
super
high-quality
content,
artistic
photography,
and
glamorous
Eastern
European
models.
And
how
do
we
know
they're
Eastern
European
models,
class?
Because
THEY
DON'T
HAVE
ANY
TATTOOS! MET
also
features
the
work
of a
lot
of
different
photographers.
Individual
photographers,
like
Petter
Hegre
at Hegre
Art
(the
name
gives
it
away)
have
also
gone
on
to
start
their
own
new
nude
sites,
with
some
success.
This
is
very
much
the
niche
that
David
Nudes
("the
sophisticated
nude")
aims
for,
being
the
showcase
of
photographer
David
Weisenbarger,
an
American
who
works
in
Europe.
By
which
we
assume
is
meant
Eastern
Europe,
as
the
site
primarily
advertises
"Russian
girls."
One
of
the
lead
models
is
David's
wife
Tatyana,
who
is
also
described
as a
model
recruiter.
Hey,
it
worked
for
Petter
and
Luba. All
joking
aside,
this
is a
site
that
takes
its
commitment
to
art
and
quality
very
seriously.
The
pics
are
up
to
6000
pixel
and
the
video
1080p
HD
(stream
or
download).
You
can
download
a
free
e-book
on
the
art
of
nude
photography
(by
David),
and
read
discussions
of
how
each
shoot
was
done.
Photo
updates
are
happening
daily
and
new
videos
are
coming
once
a
week.
Some
of
the
models
have
"blogs"
on
the
site
(though
these
weren't
terribly
in-depth).
Site
layout
is
generally
very
good,
though
a
bit
busy
we
thought
on
the
main
page.
And
we
couldn't
figure
out
why
the
different
galleries
were
called
posters.
But
overall,
it's
hard
not
to
be
impressed. There
are
some
drawbacks,
however.
In
the
first
place,
as
with
all
the
new
nude
sites,
the
movies
themselves
are
disappointing.
They
are
mainly
just
footage
shot
during
the
photoshoots
with
some
canned
music
playing
in
the
background.
Still
photographers
are
not
filmmakers,
and
it
shows.
While
the
pics
are
erotic,
the
movies
(generally)
aren't.
Sure
they're
in
HD,
but
it
hardly
makes
a
difference.
But
like
we
say,
the
same
could
be
said
for
all
of
these
sites.
Even
MET. The
amount
of
content
is
good
considering
the
site
has
only
been
going
for
a
year.
Over
150,000
photos
and
57
videos.
We
would
have
liked
there
to
have
been
more
models,
but
we
have
to
figure
they're
getting
there. As
for
the
photography
itself,
you
should
take
the
tour
and
see
if
it
appeals
to
you.
As a
general
rule
David
doesn't
go
in
for
a
close-ups
or
pink
bits,
preferring
full-body
shots.
He
also
seems
to
like
to
shoot
outdoors
in
rural
or
pastoral
settings.
And
aside
from
a
bit
of
paint
or
some
rose
petals,
he
doesn't
inject
a
lot
of
self-consciously
arty
effects
into
his
work. As
always,
it
comes
down
to
what
you're
looking
for.
This
is a
very
well-designed
site
that
makes
a
real
effort
to
give
its
members
a
quality
experience.
It's
updating
daily
and
has
very
good
tech
specs.
It
also
comes
at a
nice
price
point.
But
if
softcore
artistic
nudes
aren't
your
thing,
forget
it. |
