RE-VISIT
Two
years
after
our
initial
review
we're
back
to
take
a
look
at
one
of
the
premier
DVD
download
sites.
Perhaps
the
first
thing
to
note
is
the
growth
in
the
amount
of
content.
Two
years
ago
they
had
around
950
titles
and
were
adding
one
a
day.
They're
now
up
to
over
2220
and
usually
adding
two
a
day
(though
sometimes
only
one
--
we
weren't
quite
sure
of
the
schedule).
So
that
is
quite
a
bit
of
content. The
layout
and
navigation
have
also
improved
quite
a
bit.
It
has
a
nice
clean
look
to
it
and
we
liked
the
big
buttons
to
click
on.
Maybe
we're
getting
old,
but
we
hate
a
layout
where
there's
too
much
going
on.
They
even
hide
most
of
the
scene
thumbnailing
here,
though
it's
easy
to
access
if
you
want
it.
There
was
also
none
of
that
jerking
around
we
experienced
before
using
the
search
function.
However,
we
would
have
liked
more
categories
to
help
us
narrow
our
search.
There
should,
for
example,
be a
category
for
"creampie."
As
it
is,
the
list
of
keywords
is
kind
of
short,
especially
given
the
size
of
the
database. Another
thing
we
missed
was
a
feature
that
would
let
us
edit
our
own
clips.
Obviously
VideoBox
were
the
pioneers
with
this,
but
other
sites,
like
Adult
Rated,
have
imitated
their
interface
successfully.
Here
you
can
only
download
full
scenes
in
high
or
low-res
versions.
And
if
you
want
the
high-res
version
it
can
be
quite
a
large
file
that
includes
a
bunch
of
stuff
you
don't
really
want.
As
for
quality,
some
of
the
older
clips
don't
stand
up
that
well,
even
in
their
high-res
version,
and
there's
nothing
here
that's
true
HD
(obviously),
but
at
720x480
and
2000
kb/s
it's
certainly
respectable.
And
to
be
honest,
some
of
these
movies
(especially
the
European
ones)
are
so
dark
and
grungy
they
wouldn't
look
any
better
no
matter
how
they
were
formatted. Otherwise
we'd
say
this
is
still
an
excellent
site,
well-designed,
very
functional,
and
full
of
interesting
content.
We
were
surprised
to
find
a
lot
of
titles,
even
mainstream
ones,
we
hadn't
seen
at
some
of
the
other
download
sites.
But
on
the
content
front
two
things
really
stand
out: (1)
There
is a
very
substantial
gay
component
--
nearly
300
DVDs
when
we
visited.
Most
of
the
other
DVD
download
sites
and
porn
networks
have
separate
gay
sites.
Not
here.
So
if
you're
curious,
or
even
a
little
more
than
curious,
this
is a
good
one-stop
membership. (2)
There
are
a
lot
of
foreign
and
fetish
(mainly
rubber)
titles,
including
some
stuff
you
might
not
be
familiar
with.
Now
this
isn't
really
our
thing,
but
the
fact
is
it's
something
different
and
will
appeal
to
those
of
you
who
may
have
seen
it
all
already. Of
course
what
you
really
want
to
do
is
take
the
tour
and
browse
their
library
for
yourself
to
see
what
they've
got.
Like
all
of
these
DVD
download
sites,
they're
very
up
front
about
what
you
get.

REVIEW
"DVD
Box."
Hmmm,
that
sounds
kind
of
familiar.
Sort
of
like
they're
ripping
off
another
site
. .
.
Well,
the
name
is
anyway.
Obviously
this
is
another
mega
video
site
where
you
get
to
download
a
bunch
of
DVDs,
just
like
VideoBox.
Though
we
have
to
say
we
don't
know
why
this
should
be
such
a
catchy
name.
Does
anyone
keep
their
DVDs
in a
box?
When
you
think
about
it,
it's
a
pretty
dumb
name
(though
a
great
site).
But
then
so
is Videosz,
one
of
the
other
big
names
in
this
niche.
What
is
that
"z"
doing
at
the
end?
Is
it
like
the videos
are
falling
asleep?
What?
Anyway,
as a
matter
of
fact
this
site
is a
LOT
like
another
video
network,
and
it's
not
VideoBox
or
Videosz.
It's
basically
a
near-clone
of Porn
Access.
It
even
looks
the
same.
Why?
Because
it's
put
out
by
the
same
people
(Gamma
Entertainment,
based
in
Montreal).
It
even
features
most
of
the
same
DVDs. Fuck,
they've
even
got
the
PornAccess.com
watermark
on
them.
So
what's
the
difference? When
we
call
this
a
"near-clone"
what
do
we
mean? What
we
mean
is
that
Porn
Access
is
designed
as a
network
of
separate
(we
don't
really
want
to
call
them
"independent")
sites
run
by
Porn
Access
affiliates.
It's
sort
of
like
Deluxe
Pass
in
that
regard.
You
don't
go
searching
for
DVD
titles
but
particular
types
of
content.
Except
that
once
you
get
beyond
the
window
dressing
of
the
separate
sites,
all
the
sites
in
the
network
share
the
same
download
facility.
What
they've
done
with
DVD
Box
is
gotten
rid
of
the
separate
sites
and
just
taken
all
the
DVDs
and
given
them
to
you,
broken
down
by
scene. Which
should
be
simpler,
but
it's
not.
One
thing
these
guys
need
to
work
on
is
their
search
function.
It
really
pissed
us
off.
It
seems
easy--you
can
search
by
studio
or
star
or
DVD
title
through
pop-up
menu
boxes--but
when
you
click
on
the
results
you
always
get
thrown
back
out
of
the
members
area.
Which
really
fucks
you
up
because
then
you
have
to
go
back
into
the
members
area,
at
which
point
you've
lost
the
results
of
your
search.
We
had
a
merrie
olde
tyme
with
this,
rest
assured. But
that's
probably
just
a
bug
they'll
get
worked
out
soon
(when
we
visited
the
site
had
only
been
going
for
a
little
over
a
month).
Overall
it's
hard
to
knock
this
operation.
They're
already
up
to
943
videos
(which
is
just
a
little
less
than
Videosz,
who
are
still
the
biggest),
and
adding
a
new
one
every
day.
That's
impressive.
Also
impressive
is
the
fact
that
there
is
no
DRM
so
you
get
to
keep
everything.
The
video
quality
is
solid
too,
at
512x384
up
to
720x480
and
2000
kb/s
for
the
high
res
and
320x240
and
300
kb/s
for
the
low
(the
only
format
used
is
Windows
Media).
Sometimes
the
picture
doesn't
actually
look
that
good
though.
It's
more
like
watching
a
VHS
than
a
DVD,
if
you
know
what
we
mean. What's
not
so
good?
Well,
it's
not
the
pleasure
to
browse
that
VideoBox
is
(see
our
comments
on
the
search
function
above).
There's
also
no
editorial
or
critical
commentary
on
any
of
the
scenes,
which
is
something
we
actually
enjoy
reading.
And
of
course
it's
more
expensive
than
VideoBox
(though
of
course
almost
every
site
is).
The
sign-up
process
is
kind
of
shitty
too.
You
have
to
give
them
your
e-mail
before
they
even
tell
you
how
much
it's
going
to
cost.
And
the
way
they
price
it
is
stupid.
It's
99
cents
a
day
for
30
days.
They
have
77
cents
a
day
plastered
all
over
their
tour
and
welcome
pages,
but
that's
only
if
you
join
for
three
months. Come
on.
How
cheesy
a
stunt
is
this?
Just
tell
us
how
much
the
fucking
site
costs.
Your
credit
card
isn't
getting
charged
99
cents
a
fucking
day.
And
since
the
price
is
the
same
as
all
the
other
networks
anyway
(except
VideoBox),
it's
not
like
they
have
anything
to
hide. So
that's
about
it.
No
problem
giving
it a
thumbs-up.
The
tour
is
really
transparent,
again
like
all
of
these
sites,
so
you
can
see
what's
on
tap.
Here's
a
link
to
their
most
downloaded
and newest
DVDs.
In
general
it's
a
lot
of
the
same
stuff
you'll
see
on
the
other
sites,
with
more
foreign
and
vintage
titles.
Same
as
Porn
Access.
And
this
is
our
one
warning:
If
you're
already
a
member
of
Porn
Access,
or
been
a
member
recently,
you
don't
want
to
bother
with
this.
It's
really
mostly
the
same
content
presented
a
bit
differently.
We
missed
the
odd
fetish
movie
we
saw
on
Porn
Access,
but
wouldn't
read
much
into
that.
Maybe
they've
got
a
bit
more
here.
Since
it's
a
newer
membership
that
might
signify
that
this
is
the
direction
Gamma
wants
to
head
in. |
