It was the fall of the Soviet Union which exposed the narrow North
American provincialism of porn fanatics for what it was. Suddenly there
were porn starlets with unpronounceable last names and legs that went on
forever popping up everywhere. The bleach blonde Barbie dolls of Silicon
Valley were replaced by dark-haired, full-lipped, sophisticated-looking
Natashas who, luckily, didn't have to talk too much in the movies they
found themselves appearing in. The new capitals of porn were Prague and
Budapest.
Evelyn Lory is a Czech babe we know nothing about aside from the fact
that she's a "brand new face" (whatever that means) and is
sometimes referred to as "e.Lo". This may be a riff on J-Lo,
or come from someone with fond memories of the Electric Light Orchestra.
We'd tell you more (not about the Electric Light Orchestra, but Evelyn), but her official site has
precious little personal information. It's done by the same people who
do Roman Sluka's Exciting
Illusions, and the same pared-down philosophy
is at work. No bio, FAQ, diary or chats. The videos have musical
backgrounds. We don't know if Evelyn can speak English. Which may or may
not make any difference to you at all.
When we visited this was still quite a new site (check date), which
is something to keep in mind. As you might expect, quality is emphasized
over quantity. The pic sets usually only feature 20-40 pics per set.
They are great photos though, taken by a selection of real professionals and well
reproduced. The content is broken down into four sections. The main section is Evelyn Lory Pics and Clips. 20 galleries
of pics and 3 videos when we visited. Then there was Evelyn Lory
Backstage Pics and Clips. 8 galleries and 6 movies there. We recommend
you take the time to browse this backstage material. Some of the pics
and movies here are the equal in sexiness and explicitness (such as it
is) to anything in the main galleries. The other sections were for
assorted Czech Babes (16 galleries, 3 movies) and Celebs and Starlets
(just bonus stuff we'd seen before, 11 galleries).
The house style is said to be "Playboy and Penthouse
style", which seemed about right (at least as far as we remember
those magazines from the days before the Internet). Mostly softcore posing.
Some lesbian stuff was coming soon. Definitely no cock. The videos show Evelyn masturbating with her
fingers and a dildo, but this is very gentle stuff. It is also very well
presented though, with good editing and lighting and above average
playback (some of the clips coming in at 900 kb/s, and the lowest being
around 500 kb/s). They all look good fullscreen.
Can't knock the site design as the members area is just one
page with thumbnails to the different galleries and movies. Seems to be
a couple of updates a week with exclusive content. The movies
could have more thumbnails and file info. There aren't any real extras
or options like downloading full sets or different sizes and formats.
There was a poll going on when we visited asking if fans wanted more
live shows, movies or pics. We looked but didn't see any live shows
happening, so if they add them there will certainly be more.
EvelynLory.com is a very well produced new site, with quality content
at a nice price (which we don't expect to last). It's quite stripped
down and impersonal though.
