| Review:
Female Authority is a frustrating mix of the very good and the very
bad.
What's very good is the driving force behind it:
Goddess/bitch/dom
Katrina Aztar (or "Kat"). Put simply, she is the one of the
best, if not the best, we've seen on the Internet.
What makes her so special? Her aggressive attitude. Kat is not, as
she makes clear in her interviews, a "little miss dress-up"
dom. This is a gal who genuinely likes to dominate men. She puts on her
custom-harness 10" strap-on and takes charge. The
unfortunate "male" (her term of contempt) in her videos (it
always seems to be the same guy) is really put through his paces:
getting led around on a leash, made to lick boots, ass and pussy, and of
course getting his own ass driven hard. The coup de grace is usually a
spraying of "bitch cum", which is Kat's female ejaculation.
(For some reason Kat doesn't have any actual peeing, which surprised
us.) Best of all, at least in our opinion, is the torrent of verbal
abuse that Kat keeps up throughout. Lessons in female authority
indeed!
The femdom niche is not at all well served, for a lot of the reasons
that Kat identifies. A real femdom should be an aggressive, butch
powerhouse. Some glamour model dolled up in leather is too much fantasy.
Of course Kat is fantasy too, but if you buy into the femdom philosophy
she is also more genuine. If we were starting up a line of femdom sites
or videos, we know the first person we'd want to call.
And that's the good news.
The bad news is that this is not a great site. In many ways it is
really more of a store. We had the sense that Kat's main purpose is
setting it up is to sell her videos. Site design is quite primitive.
Updates are not regularly scheduled and seem to be pretty infrequent.
The organization isn't straightforward. The videos are spread over a
Theatre (streaming), a downloadable movie page, "Spanked by
Kat" and "Church of Aztar." There is also a message
board, a "Library" with a few stories, and a large collection of pretty
rough pics culled from various sources. Browsing the videos has to be
done without the assistance of thumbnails. Even the pic galleries are
just text links.
As noted, the emphasis seems to be on selling the videos--which are,
in effect, the site's only exclusive content. You can view these as
streaming or, in some cases, as downloads. The videos available for
download are trailers. They are good trailers, not just a tease, but
they have floating titles, are all in RealPlayer (not a great
choice) and even the best resolution isn't that great (450 kbs). The
pictures are a total write-off. They are just thumbnail screen
caps from the videos, and, most amazing of all, can't be downloaded! Try
right clicking and you get a message saying you need permission to
download the pictures! And this is for members!
Kat is a great dom, but she has to decide whether she wants to
produce a line of videos or create a full-service, members-oriented
Website. It's hard for a solo operator to do both. Right now it looks
like her emphasis is on making movies. These may be excellent, but our
job is to rate the site.
