| Review:
Foxy40 is the sister site of HotFat,
and while membership to the one does not get you into the other, we will
begin this review with some general comments that apply to both sites.
The man behind the camera is Jay Russell, a respected adult
photographer specializing in BBW and Mature work. His layouts have
appeared in magazines like Plumpers, Big Women, Juggs,
Big Butt, Busty Beauties, Over 40, Over 50, Ripe
and Leg Show. As you might expect, this means the work here is of
a pretty high caliber. The models are above average for their niche and
the camera work is very professional. The emphasis is definitely on
glamour in the pictorials, though the models do go through the usual
poses. Picture quality is very good, but we thought the pics could have
been a bit bigger (standard size is 400x600 with some larger pics
available in special series).
Video clips are presented in QuickTime format. While these are
generally "behind-the-scenes" footage taken during photoshoots,
they are less awkward in this regard than, for example, the movies at SuzeVideo.com.
In most of the clips there is little indication that you're watching a
shoot. The action is typically solo masturbation, though there is some
hardcore and kink as well. The videos come in a variety of sizes,
usually around one to two minutes in length. There isn't a lot of
editing or cuts, and overall the film-making is just average.
The rest of the site contains a few extras. There are a handful of
erotic stories that follow the site's theme. There are video feeds (FatLane
for HotFat, Granny Gets Her Cookies for Foxy40). A Webmaster's Journal
fills you in on the updates, which appear to be occurring, as promised,
"(almost) every day" (except on weekends). Unfortunately, the
photosets are being rotated, so it isn't clear sometimes what an update
is. Some of the sets are listed as "offline" (why this happens
is too confusing for us to understand, but the Webmaster does try to
explain on his FAQ page).
Overall, we were pretty impressed with both sites. There is a lot of
paranoia about protecting the content. On each site you have to go
through three warning pages to get to the members' section. The videos
have warnings, pics have warnings, and thumbnail sheets have warnings.
Luckily, these are not overly intrusive. Navigation is done mainly
though a drag-down menu. Just some simple "Back" and
"Next" buttons would have worked better. With the solid
quality, frequent updates, and amount of exclusive material, however,
both are good value sites. Definitely worth it for anyone with the right
fetish.
Foxy40 features 9 model pages with 6 models each. Most of the models
have quite a few gallery sheets. As for video, there were 4 pages with 8
or more clips each. The video content could use some beefing up, but we
suspect things are improving. While this isn't quite as good a fetish
site as HotFat, it is still respectable.
