RE-VISIT
After
two
and
a
half
years
it's
time
to
re-visit
one
of
our
favourite
sites!
First
a
few
obvious
things:
(1)
The
price
has
gone
up
$5.
No
big
deal.
(2)
The
name
has
changed
from
Hegre
Archives
to
Hegre
Art.
Why?
We
have
no
fucking
idea.
To
be
honest
we
liked
Hegre
Archives
better.
Hegre
Art
is
kind
of
vague.
It
makes
it
sound
like
he's
taken
up
oil
painting
or
something.

There's
a
lot
more
content.
As
always
the
stats
are
posted
right
on
the
main
tour
page,
so
there's
no
point
repeating
the
exact
numbers
here
since
they
update
daily
(with
a
new
film
every
week).
We'll
just
say
that
since
our
last
visit
they've
gone
from
22,000
pics
to
68,000,
and
from
30
movies
to
165.
Yeah,
that's
probably
worth
an
extra
$5.
And
if
you
join
for
a
full
year
at
$150
you
get
a
signed
print
from
Hegre!
That's
only
a
little
over
$10
a
month!
Hmmm.
Well,
maybe
if
you're
a
collector
or a
really
big
fan.
We
have
to
admit
we've
never
joined
any
site
for
a
year,
though
this
is
definitely
the
kind
of
production
we
would.
As
far
as
the
kind
of
content
you're
getting,
not
much
has
changed.
Hegre
is
still
doing
great
work
with
beautiful
models,
including
his
curvy
wife
Luba
(in
fact
she's
the
curviest
model
he
shoots
on a
regular
basis--why
is
that?).
We
got
the
impression
the
pics
were
a
little
sunnier
this
time.
Maybe
his
globe-trotting
travels
are
encouraging
him
to
work
outdoors
more
often.
These
journeys
are
detailed
as a
diary
that
comes
with
a
pile
of
extra
pics
in
the
"Travel
Reports"
section.
Also
staying
very
active
is
the
members
"Photo
Forum"
and
the
comments
board.
Lots
of
positive
feedback,
indicating
a
good
time
is
being
had
by
all.
One
of
the
most
impressive
things
about
the
galleries
is
how
individual
each
of
the
photos
is.
Even
in
sets
where
the
girl
is
wearing
the
same
clothes,
sitting
in
the
same
chair,
there's
no
sense
of
that
"snappy-happy"
habit
some
sites
have
of
just
throwing
everything
into
the
mix.
Give
us a
gallery
with
15
great
pics
over
one
with
100
that
are
all
the
same
any
day.
It's
obvious
some
real
work
is
being
put
into
selecting
only
quality
photos.
The
technical
quality
is
excellent,
as
you
should
expect
from
a
photography
site.
Also
to
be
expected
(but
still
worth
complimenting
them
on)
is
the
amount
of
choice
you
get.
Pics
come
in a
variety
of
sizes:
600,
1200,
2000,
3000,
and
up
to
4000
pixel.
You
can
download
your
choice
of
resolution
as a
zip
file.
There
is a
separate
selection
of
pics
for
your
mobile
phone.
Videos
also
come
in a
range
of
formats:
Windows,
Apple,
DivX,
QuickTime
(high
resolution,
using
the
h264
codec),
and
even
formatted
for
your
Ipod.
Most
of
the
clips
we
saw
were
around
4
minutes
long.
For
the
DivX
movies
(which
is
what
we
watched)
the
playback
was
1000
kb/s,
400x300.
So
it
looks
good.
We
also
thought
Petter
was
warming
up
to
film
a
bit
more,
or
at
least
getting
more
comfortable
with
it,
making
movies
that
were
a
bit
more
natural
and
erotic
this
time
around.
Of
course
it's
all
softcore
posing
with
mellow
music,
but
that's
the
niche.
Navigating
the
site
is
quick
and
easy.
The
only
thing
we
missed
here
was
the
ability
to
do
more
advanced
model
searches.
As
it
is
you
can
only
browse
by
name,
country,
and
hair
colour.
What
about
breast
size?
Hairy
or
shaved?
Type
of
clothes?
Beautiful
girls,
great
photography,
very
well-run
and
well-maintained:
this
is
pretty
much
all
you
could
want
it
to
be.
We
have
nothing
bad
to
say
about
it.
Fans
will
love
it,
and
if
you've
never
heard
of
Hegre
before
we
can
only
say
we
envy
the
treat
you
have
in
store.
You're
in
for
a
revelation.

REVIEW
You don't have to review porn for very long before you start to get
jaded. Let's face it, every dedicated porn surfer has probably seen way
too much of this stuff than is healthy, and pushing the envelope is
getting harder every day.
All of which makes the Hegre Archives such a relief. Welcome to
a new experience in porn. Here are young girls (very young, in our
humble estimation) without big make-up, saline boobs, exotic piercings
or skanky tatoos. OK, a few of them have tatoos, but you know what we
mean. These aren't pornstars or strippers. They are beautiful
international amateurs
captured by Norwegian photographer Petter Hegre.
On the scale of gonzo to high art the Hegre archives definitely lean
toward the art. There is no hardcore action or even masturbation. And if
you want kink you can pretty much forget it. But
that doesn't mean it isn't erotic! If you are someone who likes looking
at naked women--and we'll bet you are if you're reading this--then you
really owe it to yourself to check this site out. Sexy yes! but you'll
fall in love too.
The site itself is impossible to knock. It just doesn't get any
better. Design is very clean and easy
to navigate. The only thing we missed was a model locator-index, which
would have really come in handy given the number of pics there are. The
emphasis is on still photography and the site features huge clear pics
that will make your screen seem like a window into another world. The
effect is that much like actually being there. The feel is all natural,
with a lot of natural settings and relaxing models.
Updates? Daily. Content? All exclusive, all girl, sometimes two girls playing
together, with a total of 22,760 pics when we visited. Extras? There's a
great E-zine (we can't believe we're saying there's a great porn zine out
there, but it's true!) called Fresh. If you're even slightly
interested in what's happening in erotic photography you won't want to
miss it. The site also features an interesting "Photoforum"
section where pictures are sent in by members (Petter throws in his two
cents on occasion).
The movies (updated weekly) were pretty basic
"behind-the-scenes" stuff (pose and relax, here comes the
camera, cue the dippy jazz music, etc.). The quality, however, was
excellent, with over 30 movies of 20-25 megs each. This isn't really our
kind of thing (movies are best when there's some action or a story), but
it is very professionally done. It certainly stacks up well with
the rest of the stuff out there.
Yes, we are jaded porn reviewers. Around here we tend to like it
pretty rough. When we think high art, erotic "nudes" we roll
our eyes too. So take this into account: When we visited this site we
felt we already had a bias against it. And we were converted! Praise be
