| Review:
Hustler
is
the
well-known
men's
magazine
that
has
been,
as
this
site
proudly
puts
it,
"hardcore
since
'74!"
If
you're
interested
in
more
information
on
how
it
all
started,
check
out
the
1996
movie
The
People
vs.
Larry
Flynt.
But
of
course
all
that
was
yesterday.
This
is
the
internet
generation,
baby.
So
what
are
they
doing
online?
Well,
if
you
want
the
magazine
they
have
an
archive
of
them,
at
least
the
pictorials.
Top
girls
and
quality
photography
too.
However,
at
least
for
now
they
only
had
issues
going
back
to
2000.
So
if
you're
keen
on
looking
at
some
of
the
vintage
stuff
you
may
be
disappointed.
However,
Hustler
as a
label
has
grown
to
encompass
a
lot
more
than
just
a
magazine.
In
particular,
they've
put
out
a
lot
of
movies,
including
popular
series
like
Hustler
XXX,
Real
College
Girls,
Ghetto
Booty,
Asian
Fever,
and Jail
Babes.
If
you're
a
fan
you'll
see
all
of
these
titles,
and
more
(including
the
ridiculously
popular
Sarah
Palin
parody
starring
Lisa
Ann),
represented
here.
The
site
boasts
4
000
scenes.
And
since
you
can
download
them
and
they
are
exclusive
to
this
site,
they're
probably
the
main
draw.
We
weren't
overwhelmed
by
how
the
video
was
presented.
It's
not
bad.
You
select
a
DVD
and
then
pick
a
scene
and
are
immediately
taken
to a
Flash
player.
From
there
you
can
choose
a
stream
or
pick
a download
option,
either
Windows
or
QuickTime,
in a
bit
rate
of
1200,
768,
384,
or
128
(ouch!).
That
sounds
OK,
though
even
at
the
high
end
it's
not
really
killer
quality.
But
in
some
cases
the
best
option,
the
1200
kb/s,
wasn't
available.
Then
for
some
DVDs
there
were
no
thumbnails
or
scene
information
for
the
individual
scenes.
There
was just
a
blind
link,
sometimes
with
the
lead
performers
name,
to
download
the
scene.
Which
was
kind
of
frustrating. The
navigation
was
pretty
good,
which
is
important
because
the
main
site
is
made
up
of
24
individual
sites
(for
example:
Beaver
Hunt,
Hustler's
College
Girls,
and
Busty
Beauties)
that
are
effectively
integrated
into
the
main
area.
Some
advertising
for
sites
like
Brazzers
and
Nubiles
appears
on
the
main
page. There's
a
performer
index
but
it
didn't
seem
complete
when
we
tested
it.
Then
there's
an
odd
special
model
index
of
big
name
Hustler
stars
that
we
couldn't
really
see
the
point
of.
Or
you
can
search
by
DVD
title,
category,
or
activity.
We
couldn't
see
the
difference
between
these
last
two,
except
for
the
fact
that
the
activity
index
operates
from
a
drop-down
menu
and
has
more
keywords.
In
any
event,
we
mainly
stuck
to
the
DVD
listings. While
not
a
bad
site
--
how
could
it
be
with
this
much
content
and
talent?
--
overall
we
were
left
a
little
let
down
by
this
one.
They've
obviously
been
busy
making
changes
and
when
we
visited
it
was
still
being
billed
as a
"new"
layout
and
design.
If
you
read
older
reviews
on
other
sites
you'll
find
a
lot
of
complaining
about
DRM.
Apparently
that
has
all
been
removed.
On
our
visit
we
didn't
encounter
any.
But
there
was
plenty
of
evidence
that
the
site
is
still
a
work
in
progress,
which
is
weird
given
the
label
and
the
resources
behind
it.
The
site
index
page
only
had
links
to
15
sites,
while
the
sidebar
site
menu
gave
links
to
24.
Some
of
the
photos
were
missing
(we
got
database
error
messages
when
we
clicked
on
the
thumbnails).
The
video
is
not
standardized,
either
in
terms
of
quality
or
in
presentation.
Not
having
vidcaps
for
all
the
scenes
is
just
crazy.
And
the
best
quality
downloads,
1200
kb/s,
aren't
fantastic
either.
Then
there
is
the
fact
that
the
magazine
archives
only
go
back
to
2000.
Are
the
rest
being
added?
We
don't
know.
The
update
schedule
is
also
kind
of
wonky.
When
we
were
there
it
looked
like
they
were
adding
six
or
seven
updates
every
couple
of
days. Throw
in
the
really
hefty
price
point
and
we
can
only
give
this
a
cool
recommendation,
instead
of
rating
it a
must
see.
However,
it
does
look
like
they're
putting
some
effort
into
it
and
we
suspect
they'll
have
all
the
bugs
ironed
out
pretty
soon,
making
it a
lot
better.
God
knows
they
have
the
content,
it's
just
a
matter
of
packaging. |
