JUNE 2006 RE-VISIT

We have to start this review with a bit of an anecdote. We got a request to check the site out, and we did. We made our preliminary field notes and then we sat down to start writing a review up. Then we went into our file system and discovered something . . . we already reviewed this site a year ago! This was actually going to be a re-visit review! We had completely forgotten all about our first review, and our first visit.

Now we figure this tells you something. It tells you that this is a really forgettable site. And the reason it doesn't make much of an impact is that it's just not offering a very special experience. Nothing really wrong with it, but basically it's only an archive of non-exclusive, mostly softcore glam content. It (obviously) didn't make any impression on us at all the first time around. And we have to say that after this most recent visit it still doesn't.

Anyway, here's a breakdown about what's better and not better with the site this time around:

BETTER

-- it's not all softcore anymore. They do have a number of boy-girl sets. Maybe a dozen hardcore movies. But it's still mainly a solo-girl and toy-play/masturbation site.

-- the language problems are mostly cleared up. Though we're still not sure what "Definitive Adult Content" (or "Definitive Adults Content" as they have it on the logo in their movies) means. "Premium" or "Quality" adult content we could understand. But what makes adult content definitive?

-- membership also gets you into Fetish Series. This is something we feel obliged to point out, since it isn't made very clear anywhere that we could see on the site.

NOT BETTER

-- it's an extra $5 a month. Still a reasonable price, but it has gone up.

-- the video, which wasn't very impressive a year ago, hasn't improved. Note that we are listing this under things that are "not better," which doesn't necessarily mean "worse." However, given how much the state of the art in video quality has been improving in just the last year, standing still is not an option. Movie quality that was acceptable as average a year ago, is below average today. This still wouldn't be too big an issue except for the fact that they make such a deal out of their "high quality" video on the tour. It isn't.

-- the update schedule, which says they're adding one new photo gallery and one new video a week, isn't cutting it either. For an archive site you should be expecting daily updates. It's not like it takes them a while to produce the stuff. We're also not sure they're keeping to it, since according to our last review, eleven months ago, they had "just under 60 clips" and now they have 90. That doesn't add up.

So, not a bad little site. But nothing special. If this is your thing we would strongly recommend a membership at Twistys as an alternative.

JULY 2005 REVIEW

First off, you have to admit it's a nice price. There just aren't that many sites left that offer you anything for $15 (the one obvious exception being the truly amazing $9.95/month steal at VideoBox). So that's all good.

Site design is clean and elegant, but it's being run by a Spanish fellow, with English and Spanish versions, and the English version is a little rough. What you are told on the main (English) entry page is this: "We will try week to week, to be bringing the best content for adults (Video & Galleries) than we find by the network. We will try all costs that the money which you have spent in your subscription itīll be compensated." What you can take from this is (a) they are trying for weekly updates; and (b) the content is not exclusive but the best they can "find by the network".

Those might sound like somewhat limited goals, but at least they're honest. You know that because the site tour is totally transparent. Any site that does this gets bonus points in our book. You can pretty much browse everything they have, and see how they've laid it out, for free. No surprises, which is just how it should be.

The models (of which there were 160 when we visited) are mostly European amateurs, with some name adult stars in the mix. The "names" are the usual suspects mostly, like Sydney Moon, Silvia Saint, Sandra Shine (just to stick with the "S" team), etc. The action in the photo galleries seemed to be all softcore. Some lesbian and toy-play sets, but we didn't see any hardcore boy-girl stuff. The videos, however, do include a bit of cock. But overall this is a predominantly softcore site.

The pics are a good size, usually coming in at around 1100x700. There were just over 200 sets, which can be downloaded as zip files. You can also browse through a model index that links to photo and video sets if that's your preference. The videos are also nice, with just under 60 clips on tap when we visited. There's no DRM, and for downloads you get a choice of RealPlayer or either a .wmv file (in the newer movies) or .avi version that you'll need a DivX codec to play. The RealPlayer files are smaller with worse playback. The Windows stuff is 500 kb/s and looks pretty good.

There were some rough spots. The updates aren't dated so you have to sort of take it on faith that they're keeping with a weekly schedule (for what it's worth, they were when we visited). Browsing the model index we noticed that some models didn't have thumbnails. These came with a message: "Model preview unavailable." Why? Also some of the same video clips appear twice in the video index if it's a lesbian clip (the same clip is attributed to each individual participant). Something else that might lead to confusion is that even in the English section the instructions and navigation are in Spanish. In case you're wondering, "Inicio"="Home" and "Ayuda"="Help". Of course the Help section is all in Spanish too, so it might not be a big help. Not that you should need it in a site as straightforward as this, but just so you know.

No question this isn't a bad site. It's up front about what it's offering and it's cheap. The problem is that it doesn't have much of an identity or personality and its content is all non-exclusive. We'd seen a lot of it before. The fact that it doesn't hit any particular niche but just presents a collection of generic softcore material doesn't help either. It's OK, but for this market it really needs to have a lot more content to get a higher score.
