As they wandered through the musky nether regions of Pornotopia
and the dismal Swamp of Smut, the weary
tribe of Internet poonhunters suddenly saw a magnificent peak of amateur
girlflesh towering above them. Was this the fabled Lost Kingdom they had
traveled so far to find? Was this the legendary Mount Filth?
Or something like that. You have to admit, "Mount Filth" is
a great name. A dramatic juxtaposition of the high and the low, if you
will. But does the site itself measure up?
There's a lot to like. We'll begin with the obvious: There are plenty
of pics and videos. A counter on the main page keeps a running
total. When we visited there were nearly 7,000 pics and 35 movies, but
those numbers are going up all the time. We also liked the way you can
browse the site's content without being a member. That means you can
check out all the models and get a look at the videos without paying a
dime. Whenever we visit a site that does this we know we're in good
hands. They obviously haven't got anything to hide.
And joining isn't going to cost you a whole lot either. The $15
monthly membership fee (for a site with daily updates!) is very
attractive. Is the price of porn going down? There seem to be quite a
few quality sites now offering these low monthly rates.
A lot of the extra stuff can be browsed for free as well, including
the short "Filth Tales" (just intros to photosets, as far as we
could see), and Todd's Filth-ionary. Todd is one of the guys running the
site and his Filth-ionary is a sort of woman-bashing Devil's Dictionary.
Don't know if everyone will enjoy his attitude, but along with Hailey
and Ryan (the other two site producers) it does give the site some
personality. Perhaps too much. Who came up with the "Cum
Towel" idea as a giveaway?
In terms of content, it may be significant that Ryan comes from the
New Nude network (Hegre
Archives, etc.), so you get a lot of studio nudes of young Eastern
European women. The site layout is also similar. The difference with Mount Filth is that there is
hardcore. As Ryan explains: "with this site I've gone beyond
still-life (posed photos) and tried to unleash the animal passion of
these beautiful girls." In terms of the photos this mostly means
solo posing. These pics are nice and big, but they aren't quite stylish
or imaginative enough for great softcore.
The movies include a lot of toy-play, lesbian and even boy-girl scenes.
The videos can be downloaded in very lo-res sample clips or as large
high-res files. The high-res versions play great full screen and are well-produced. And
it's these videos which really make this site a different entity from
the New Nude sites, since they seem to have most of the hardcore action.
Unfortunately most of the hardcore movies are of a lower quality than
the solo masturbation sets. What gives with that?
Good looking "real" girls, high production values, a low
monthly membership, daily updates, what's not to like?
We did think there were a couple of things that could have been
improved on. In the photo section there is no alternative between
downloading complete sets as zip files and clicking through a set pic by pic in
a slideshow-style format. No thumbnail sheets. Well, there's a reason
people like to use thumbnail sheets. They provide a quick overview and
let you pick out the pics you really want a better look at. We really
missed thumbnail sheets here.
We also missed having an alternative to downloading huge single movie
files. As noted, you can download really lo-res almost sample clips in
parts, or you can download the whole movie in a high-res format as one
big file. Given the size of some of these files (over 150 megs), why
can't you download the high-res videos in shorter clips as well?
Instead, and just like the photo galleries, you have to take it all or
nothing.
Well, these are design issues that should be easy to fix. As it
stands this is a solid site at a very reasonable price.
