APRIL 2008 RE-VISIT
This
is
just
a
quick
update
to
mention
a
few
things
that
have
changed
since
our
last
review,
two
years
ago:
(1)
The
video
quality,
as
with
all
of
the
Kink.com
sites,
has
improved
quite
a
bit.
Starting
in
March
2008
all
of
the
updates
are
in
HD,
at
720p.
Much
larger
files
of
course,
but
they
look
great.
(2)
They
now
have
a
tag-team
league.
Sort
of
an
obvious
idea
we're
surprised
they
didn't
go
with
earlier.
(3)
The
price
has
gone
up a
bit,
but
they
now
have
over
200
episodes,
and
they're
adding
five
matches
a
month.
As
a
result,
we're
taking
our
score
up a
notch.
The
fact
is,
this
is the
quality
brand
in
porn
wrestling.
It's
not
our
thing.
We
were
still
mainly
downloading
the
parts
at
the
end
where
the
winners
fuck
the
losers.
But
if
you
dig
watching
ladies
rolling
around
on
the
floor
grappling
with
each
other,
have
fun!
APRIL 2006 RE-VISIT
The
thing
about
these
fetish
sites
is
that
it's
all
about
the
concept.
We're
re-visiting
this
site
along
with
a
bunch
of
the
other
San
Francisco-based
Kink.com
sites
and
we're
looking
at
our
review
of Water
Bondage
where
we
said
that
the
concept
of
mixing
water
and
bondage
was
kind
of
silly
and
unerotic.
Then
we
come
to
this
site
and
notice
that
our
previous
review
began
by
saying
"This
is a
great
concept."
This
difference
is
of
course
subjective.
The
idea
of
women
wrestling
in
the
nude
(or
near
nude),
with
the
winner
getting
to
fuck
the
loser
"any
way
she
wants"
is
just
as
silly
as
sticking
a
girl
trussed
up
in
ropes
into
a
tank
of
water.
But
we
like
it
better.
It's
the
same
quality
production
though,
with
Windows
Media
and
RealPlayer
options
for
the
video
at
640x480
and
700
kb/s.
They're
up
to
95
episodes
now,
and
adding
a
new
fight
weekly.
Is
any
of
it
real?
Probably
not.
But
then
it's
probably
more
real
than
any
of
the
pro
wrestling
you
see
on
TV.
They've
made
some
slight
rule
changes
to
speed
things
up
and
added
a
scoreboard
and
wireless
scoring
system.
Otherwise
it's
mostly
the
same
stuff
as
they
had
a
year
ago.
One
thing
we
missed
this
time
was
a
clearer
idea
of
how
the
tournament
is
progressing.
Of
course
all
these
sites
are
laid
out
the
same
way,
which
makes
for
a
really
clear
tour
for
one
thing,
but
we
wish
they'd
done
a
little
more
with
the
presentation
here
to
show
the
brackets
or
standings.
God
knows
it
wouldn't
be
hard
to
do
and
it
would
really
add
to
your
understanding
of
what's
going
on.
As
it
is
now
it
might
as
well
be a
random
match
every
week.
We
weren't
following
anything.
But
that's
not
a
big
gripe.
If
girl-fights
are
your
thing
you'll
want
to
check
this
out.
And
they
still
do a
good
job
of
working
the
sex
in.
It's
a
real
turn-on
to
see the tiny but tough Asian chicks throwing
the big-titted
blondes around and then having their way with them later (this
was
one
of
our
favourite
sets--that
girl
in
the
red
hood
is a
buster!).
It's
like
sex
and
submission
meets
the
WWE,
with
the
final
segment
in
each
episode
usually
involving
some
good
toe-sucking,
face-sitting
and
dildo
action.
OK,
so
it
is a
silly
concept.
But
most
porn
is
pretty
silly
when
you
think
about
it.
The
trick
is
not
to
think.
DECEMBER 2004 REVIEW
This is a great concept, bold and imaginative and just a little bit
weird, from a studio that specializes in bold, imaginative and weird
concepts. It's put out by the same people who have brought us such
hardcore fetish delights as Fucking
Machines, Water
Bondage and Wired
Pussy. And, so as far as site design and basic presentation goes,
what we said about those sites (which was, in general, positive) applies
to this one as well.
We'll start with the nuts and bolts. Here, in brief, is the
presentation:
You get a series of exclusive movies, all in RealPlayer format,
available for download or viewed as streams. The download versions come
in high-res (broadband) and low-res (modem) formats. You can download
clips (around 20 2-minute clips per 40-50 minute video), or use a toggle
function to download all of the clips in a zip file. Lots of thumbnails
and pics (150-250) to go with the videos, plus some good user
comments/critiques to go with each ("Please post your comments with
respect. Remember that the model him/herself will more than likely read
it"). The pics are nothing special (action grabs) and the videos,
as noted, are all in RealPlayer, which is not our favourite. But
playback is solid at 640x480.
The site was new when we visited during its grand opening, but already
had a respectable selection of clips. There were 12 matches archived
with updates (an update being a new match) coming every Tuesday.
Now on to a discussion of how well this site hits its target.
Fans of professional wrestling are, in general, not concerned with the
ridiculous question of whether it is real or fake. So we're certainly
not going to go over the point here. The question is how convincing, or
at least entertaining, the show is. Overall we thought it was very well
done. There is a lot of heavy breathing (good sound, by the way, which
is one of the advantages of shooting in a real studio) and the girls are
obviously exercising hard if nothing else. The set is a little dark, as with most of the sets used by this
studio, but the action is certainly visible. The concept shows a keen
awareness of the psychological connection between physical and sexual
domination. The women don't fight for a pin so much as to
"shame" their opponents into sexual submission and orgasm. And
to the victor go the spoils, as they either don a strap-on or get their
pussy eaten by the vanquished. (The loser might also get a whipping from
the referee.)
It's all very pseudo-scientific. As explained in the FAQ:
"Ultimate Surrender employs a complicated set of rules and a unique
scoring system that encourages the wrestlers to sexually humiliate their
helpless opponents for points and cash." (Note: The cash purse is
not extravagant. Style points only earn $3 each. We certainly hope the
girls are making more than that for appearing in the first place.) As
further explained: "U.S. has created an elaborate scoring system
and rule set. Once a wrestler has her opponent in 'control' she can then
sexually attack her helpless opponent for 'style points'. In other
words, once one wrestler gets the other helpless, she can fondle,
finger, and do anything she can to earn more points and money."
The scoring system in the Rules explains how this supposedly works:
Breast fondling: 1 point immediately then 1 point for each 10 seconds
there after in current hold. Once the wrestler stops the fondling she
cannot earn points for 10 more seconds.
Pussy fingering (no insertion): 1 point immediately then 2 points each
10 seconds after in current hold. Once the wrestler stops the fondling
she cannot earn points for 10 more seconds.
Pussy fingering (insertion): 1 point immediately then 3 points each 10
seconds after in current hold. Once the wrestler stops the fondling she
cannot earn points for 10 more seconds.
Breast smothering: 1 point immediately then 1point for each 30 seconds.
Once the wrestler stops she cannot earn points for 10 more seconds.
Outstanding Holds: Will earn 2 points immediately and 2points every 30
seconds. Valid once for current control period. Referee's decision,
Example: Great head scissors hold.
Face sitting with pussy directly on nose and mouth: Earns 3 pts then 3
pts every 10 sec.
Kissing mouth on mouth with tongue penetration: 5 style points.
Kissing of face, neck and ears: 1pt and 2 every 10 sec.
Hence the "ultimate surrender" is sexual. Despite such an
enticing scoring system (which we couldn't really follow), we would have liked more sex and less
wrestling. As it is, we found ourselves mostly just downloading the
final few clips and the "surrender" and not bothering
with the majority of the wrestling. The full videos are actually quite
long (40-50 minutes!) and go through a series of "rounds", but
most of the action is the same: Two girls rolling around on a mat. This
isn't really erotic wrestling either. They are genuinely grappling,
going for pins and the aforementioned style points. Until the thongs
come off and the girls start going at it sexually, not much happens that
will be of interest to anyone except the xxx-treme wrestling afficionado.
Of course, if watching two girls in various states of undress grappling
with each other is what you're after, then you will be pleased with
what's on offer here.
Even the way the action is filmed favours the wrestling angle. There is always one camera
moving around the floor and one overhead cam that is
stationary. The movies are well-edited between these two positions. The
fights, we thought, were very well-filmed. As fights. The sex is filmed
the same way (it is part of the same action a lot of the time), and it isn't
as erotic as it could be.
Also worth mentioning is the way the fights are arranged as a sort of
tournament. As the site explains: WE STRONGLY URGE YOU TO WATCH THE
MATCHES FROM THE FIRST UPDATE TO THIS ONE THERE IS AN ORDER TO THE
MATCHES. THE WIN, LOSE RECORDS ADD TO THE DRAMA THAT IS ULTIMATE
SURRENDER! So really you're supposed to watch the whole archive and
follow the ups and downs of this giant tournament until we arrive at
some Ultimate Surrender Wrestle-mania. Presumably this will involve some
feedback from members.
Navigation is a little crude. The video archive is just the
"updates" page, which makes a confusing distinction between
when a match was actually filmed and when it was posted. The
"schedule" was a schedule for updates across the Cybernet
Entertainment network, which, since it isn't a network (that is, all
sites available for one membership), was useless to us. Indeed, it
didn't have any Ultimate Surrender updates listed (because the site had
just opened?). We also wondered why there wasn't a link going from the
individual model/wrestler pages to their matches. This should all get
straightened out eventually though.
The
presentation here is quite professional and there's no arguing these
guys are good at what they do.
Like most of the Cybernet sites, joining Ultimate Surrender is a
little like being transported to some kind of alternate universe. At
times they almost seem to be taking it seriously. It's a real specific niche, and the site
does what it sets out to do at a very reasonable price. A little more
variety in the sets (Cybernet has such dark, depressing sets), more
content, and more emphasis on the sex are what we were
looking for.
