Hoo boy. Where to start? Intro tells us "You are
visiting the most comprehensive downloadable adult video site available
on the Internet today." Not sure about that. Just to be picky, it
depends what you mean by "comprehensive". Take the tour and
you will see a lot of the usual suspects. The studios represented are
Adam & Eve, Devil's Films, Elegant Angel, Jill Kelly Productions,
Legend, Red Light District, and Zero Tolerance. Nothing wrong with this
stuff, but it is the usual suspects.
Videosz would probably be on more solid ground saying
they are simply the largest downloadable adult video site (note that we
are not including network passes like Deluxe
Pass, which is run by the same people). Stats when we visited: 480
movies totaling 1,282,337 mb of content. And it is growing fast.
The site updates with two new DVDs every
day (you can check out their line-up of new releases here).
This truly is astonishing.
There isn't much to add to any of this because you can
go see for yourself everything that Videosz has got. You can browse
their entire library and get an idea for how it's set up without
becoming a member (always a good sign, because it means they have
nothing to hide). You can even use the different search functions
(performer, series, studio, genre, most
downloaded).
No bullshit about any of this. You can download entire
movies or individual scenes. Three formats for download: avi (DivX),
mpeg, and wmv (you can also view streaming video, if that's what you
really want). Be advised that these are huge files. Here's an example
(you can't see these download pages on the tour, so that's why we're
telling you):
For the movie Latin Extreme #2 (there are a
lot of complete series here) there are five main scenes and three bonus
scenes (you get to download all the bonus scenes from the DVDs as well).
The first scene runs 25 minutes and is available as a 289 mb avi file, a
220 mb mpeg, or a 52 mb wmv.
Obviously you will want a very fast connection, but
there are no limits or other problems that we encountered.
If you check out the other reviews you'll see that
this is one of the highest rated sites on the Net, and it's easy to
understand why. The quantity and presentation is amazing. You really are
getting 500 movies for $30, with a good search function and navigation
to boot. What's not to like?
Just a couple of things, from our point of
view:
In the first place, there isn't much of a fetish
presence. Do a fetish "genre" search and you'll just get some
fatty videos. We thought there could be a bit more variety thrown into
the mix.
We
would
also
have
liked
a
bit
more
thumbnailing
(as
with
VideoBox)
and
better
critical
commentary/scene
descriptions
(as
with
Fuckplex).
As
it
is
you
just
get
a
promotional
blurb
(from
the
box
cover?)
introducing
each
movie,
and
three
thumbnails
for
each
scene.
Given
that
the
scenes
sometimes
contain
quite
a
bit
of
action
this
isn't
fully
adequate.
It's a little pricey and impersonal, but if any site
out there is worth $30 a month then this is probably it. As noted, it's
done by the same people who run Deluxe Pass (another great value). The
main difference here is that it's all one site so there's no overlapping
content, navigation and search functionalities are easier, a high-res
version of everything is available, and you get to download full movies.
We've tried to be critical, but we can't knock it any more than we have.
Bottom line: It's worth it.
