| Review:
Wanted
List
is a
hybrid
site
that
we
can
only
really
review
half
of,
and
maybe
not
the
biggest
half.
Part
of
it
is a
video
rental
service,
which
we
don't
review
for
various
reasons,
one
of
the
main
ones
being
that
since
we're
not
located
in
the
U.S.
we
can't
get
stuff
delivered
to
us.
So
while
these
guys
have
been
named
AVN's
"best
rental
site"
the
last
few
years
running,
we
can't
comment
on
that
side
of
it.
This
leaves
us
with
the
other
part
of
the
site,
which
is a
pretty
basic
DVD
site.
As
we
have
said
on
many,
many
previous
occasions,
there's
not
much
to
reviewing
these
sites.
They
are
all
set
up
in a
very
similar
way
and
offer
a
very
similar
experience.
Just
by
browsing
the
site
you'll
get
a
better
idea
of
what
you're
getting
than
any
review.
But
here
are
the
main
questions
answered.
(1)
How
much
stuff
have
they
got? Say
they
have
4,000
movies
to
watch
(over
20,000
to
rent),
and
that
they're
adding
3-10
new
ones
a
day.
When
we
visited
it
looked
like
they
were
adding
four
a
day
pretty
regularly.
Note,
however,
that
the
site
is
geared
toward
watching
the
movies
through
a
Flash
player.
Which
is
why
this
part
of
the
site
is
labeled
"VOD"
(for
Video
on
Demand).
Not
all
of
the
titles
are
available
for
download.
Indeed,
the
download
option
was
something
they
had
only
just
started
to
offer
a
few
months
prior
to
our
visit.
(2)
Is
there
anything
here
you
haven't
seen
before?
That
is
to
say,
are
there
movies
here
that
aren't
available
at
the
other
DVD
download
sites?
Answer:
They
do
have
some
studios
lined
up
that
you
don't
see
elsewhere,
at
least
very
much.
The
most
notable
of
these
is
Evil
Angel
(which
we've
only
seen
as
part
of
the
Evil
Angel
network,
which
allows
downloads).
(3)
What's
the
quality
like?
OK.
The
movies
are
presented
in
three
formats:
high
(1
meg),
medium
(512
kb/s)
and
dial-up
(256
kb/s).
Though
the
thought
of
watching
any
kind
of
streaming
video
with
a
dial-up
connection
is a
stretch.
Those
are
the
key
points.
Like
we
say,
it's
much
like
the
other
DVD
sites
out
there
except
that
it's
also
a
video
rental
store
and
it's
mainly
geared
toward
watching
the
movies
in-browser
instead
of
offering
downloads.
As
such,
it's
not
bad,
but
the
competition
is
pretty
stiff. |
